Cheap Tyres In Northampton: The Best In Northampton Tyre Deals

If you own a car one of the things that can burn a quick hole into your pocket buying tyres, so knowing where to get good quality cheap tyres in Northampton is a must for any motorist.

I’ve been looking for a full set of cheap car tyres in Northampton, at my last service I had the advisory notice that 3 of my tyres, basically they were close to the mark.

Being Northampton Tony I set out to find the best of Northampton’s deal on car tyres . I’m sharing here what I found in-case you too were looking for the cheapest car tyres around town.

Now there are literally hundreds of makes and models of tyres you can buy and most of us have our own particular brands we like to stick to. I’m looking for cheap tyres for my Volvo T5 so that will be the base of my research. I have picked some very different types of tyres of various ages . The cheap brands of tyre type I searched were: 

• Tyre Size:           225/45/17
• Tyre Tyre:         All Weather
• Tyre Models:     Pirelli P6000 / Goodyear F1 / Bridgestone S001

Whilst looking for the cheap tyres I only used the internet for my search. Only the first 2 pages of the search engine results got a look; seeing that most of us will never browse those first 2 couple of pages anyway, I also included google ads entries as well.

As you can see, it really does pay to do a little research when looking to save money on tyres. Cheap tyres in Northampton doesn’t mean poor quality. The tyres I found quotes for are all brand name tyres and are quoted completely fitted and  inc VAT.

Where possible these businesses were called on the phone Monday 30th Jan 2012. During my research for the best price I was quotes £55.00 each as the cheapest non brand tyre. However I’m not sure that buying a tyre that cheap in Northampton would still carry the standard 91 load bearing and the Y or even W spec speed rating warranties.

My Experience Thoughts and Impressions 

In the order of contact here are just a few notes about the Tyre suppliers on the list.

TyresNorthampton.com – I was actually recommended them by someone on Facebook when I first started looking for cheap tyres in Northampton. I remember thinking that the guy on the phone was very polite he told me he would have to order the Goodyear F1′s bot the other tyres were in stock.

etyres.co.uk – Had Eamonn Holmes ‘himself‘ telling you how cheap etyre.co.uk were but the facts of the matter are he was paid a bundle of cash to say that (who knows he may even have free tyres !). They are mobile so that is a great bonus but they certainly are not the cheapest, but probably the simplest way to get cheapish tyres.

halfordsautocentres.co.uk – An online portal of all things halfords and auto probably the best searching tools I used. A very simple  way to find out if they had cheap tyres, they didn’t but now at least I know!

f1autocentres.co.uk/ - I got my first “Northampton Lad” on the phone for my quotes here, a bit of friendly banter but not really cheap, Hedid tell e that the P6000 tyres they had 91w rated and Centurion tyres were £118!

sheltune.co.uk/ - They came across as not really interested in quoting me but telling me what they held in stock. the guy that answered the phone said Kumo were £89.95 and £69.95 for a brand that I fail to remember (sorry).

national.co.uk – I am not going to say much apart from … “they may have the highest prices but that image I have here Is their’s promise go figure or go haggle”!

calmac.co.uk/- Another tyre supplier who has paid to be on the first page is calmac tyres Northampton. I was on the phone for quite a while the tyres quotes were found. Even not the cheapest the Pirelli’s are p7000 and the Goodyea are on the better 94Y rating.

tyresavings.com/ - This was one of the tyre websites that was paying to be on the first page of the google search term “tyres Northampton” They do pretty good in the cheap tyres in Northampton stakes.Like all of the online tyres suppliers they have local approved tyre fitters. and prices include fitting andVAT.

tyre-shopper.co.uk/- Google Ads again and another price promise that they won’t be beaten… but they are!

intownautomotive.co.uk  – And yet another google ad. As you land on their  website it says new tyres for £19.99 wow that’s cheap. I wish they were Goodyear’s for that price.. They had Evo-Grip for £115.00 though.

amalgamatedtyresnorthampton.co.uk - Amalgamated Tyres is a name that I have known for as log as Scotts being a Northampton Lad. I spoke to Dave there ad he left me with a very good impression. He asked me why I was asking about those tyres as they had very different uses “he educated me so I could make a more informed choice“ and that is priceless.

kwik-fit.com/ - Now strangely these tyre fitting brand had absolutely no online presence on the first few pages of google at all. I’m including them here because you may be thinking that do cheap tyres in Northampton, they do have a very visible tyre fitting bay in the middle of town!

scottstyres.com They have a man answering the phone and was straight to the point and not very warm and fuzzy They were cheap though I give them that, They also have most websites for the single brand, I think that needs a little organising and a liltle confusing…
